The Delphi process is a highly valuable way of seeking the view of the majority of the panel, should an individual wish to state exceptional or extreme views then they are identified quickly and can be followed up by the Delphi team to ensure that their reasoning is properly understood and decisions can be taken on the inclusion or otherwise of their inputs. Where a member of the panel continually expresses a diverse view to the remainder of the panel then the rationale can be properly understood rather than being just ignored by the statistical analysis.
